True North is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Payroll Manager to join our team. This role will manage bi-monthly payroll processing and support key HR functions including onboarding, benefits coordination, and employee records compliance. The ideal candidate has experience with Paylocity and thrives in a tech-enabled, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Process bi-monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees using Paylocity

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and internal policies

  • Audit timesheets, track adjustments, and coordinate pay changes

  • Prepare payroll reports and assist with annual filings including W-2s

HR Support

  • Act as the liaison between staff and benefits providers, addressing employee questions and facilitating resolution of issues

  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to onboard new hires and enter employee data into HRIS system
