About the Role:

As an Exceptional Student Education Teacher (ESE), you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. You’ll work closely with students, families, and a collaborative team of educators to foster an inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment for every learner.

 Duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Work closely with general education teachers to support and differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
  • Provide ongoing support and strategies to classroom teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively implemented.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to create and update behavior intervention plans (BIPs) tailored to individual student needs.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to IEPs, 504s, and BIPs is accurate, up-to-date, and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Schedule and lead IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other relevant meetings to discuss student progress, goals, and support strategies.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with parents, providing updates on student performance, addressing concerns, and working collaboratively to support student success.
  • Act as a liaison between general education teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of educational plans and student success.

Desired Skills & Experience

·       Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree from a fully accredited college or university.  

·       Certification is not required to teach at True North. 

·       Candidates must be familiar with and align with the classical liberal arts curriculum and philosophy employed at True North Classical Academy.
